Doni documented midwife clinic activity at a remote area in Central Java, Indonesia. Stay for a week to do a visual observation on critical situations. Encounter the relation between modern medical approach and traditional practice by maternity shaman. Those two approaches surprisingly complete each other. The villagers believe that the modern medical system is better for their pregnancy period and giving birth to the baby. After that, the shaman trusted the baby's spiritual and physical strength. Furthermore, the midwife clinic is essential for the village. Besides serving as a maternity clinic, it's also unofficially serving as a general medical clinic.
